The playground

The largest Kompan playground in the world.

In a clearing, in the small piece of woodland near the large maze, stands the Kompan playground which was erected in 1994. Here, our youngest visitors will find plenty to challenge and amuse them in 8 separate play areas, each of which is renewed every year. Kompan playgrounds have safety as their highest priority and are characterized by their bright colours and shapes.

In the middle of the playground stands a large, 600 year old oak tree - the only remaining tree from the period when Egeskov was built. It is thought that the area with the tree was once used as the thingstead (the place where the assembly sits).
